National PTA Reflections Program is a national art contest sponsored by the PTA. Entries due Nov. 5 in the library.
Students who enter must have a parent or guardian who is a member of the PTA. Students may submit more than one entry and in more than one category. Each entry includes an artist’s statement. Make sure that the statement explains how the art relates to this year's theme “Look Within.” Judging is done in two elementary school levels: Pre-K through 2nd (Primary) and 3rd through 5th (Intermediate). The top entries will advance to SBISD district-level judging. Categories include Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, and Visual Arts.

about the program
Started in 1969 by the Colorado PTA President Mary Lou Anderson, Reflections has encouraged millions of students to express themselves by giving positive recognition for their artistic efforts. Students in preschool through grade 12 may create and submit works of art in six categories: dance choreography, film production, literature, musical composition, photography, and visual arts. Any PTA with Active Status is eligible to sponsor Reflections on their campus.
