Watch D.O.G.S. are fathers and father figures who volunteer in a variety of school activities, serving as positive male role models to our students.

What is Watch D.O.G.S.

WATCH D.O.G.S. is one of the nation’s largest and most respected school-based, family, and community engagement, organizations in the country.  Each school year hundreds of thousands of fathers and father-figures make a positive impact on millions of children by volunteering millions of hours in their local schools through this amazing one-of-a-kind program. What you need to know about Watch D.O.G.S. at nhe

We have so many people who want to participate in Watch D.O.G.S.! This year we have made some changes to maximize participation opportunities for everyone. There is no such thing as too many volunteers and we want to make room for everyone!

New for 2024 - 2025:

• Watch D.O.G.S. shifts will be half-day - no full day sign-ups will be allowed. 
• Watch D.O.G.S. volunteers will be able to sign-up for two shifts each semester. If you sign-up for more than two we will reach out to see which two spots you want to keep. These two shifts cannot be on the same day!
• All Watch D.O.G.S. will receive a Watch D.O.G.S. lanyard the first time you volunteer. This is yours to keep!
• Volunteers are welcome to purchase additional Watch D.O.G.S. gear from the official store (see below).
• When you arrive at NHE, Ms. Zubair will greet you and provide instructions and your schedule for the day. 

• Review the volunteer process and procedures guide prior to volunteering on the NHE Campus.

You must be a registered and approved SBISD volunteer- no exceptions!

how to sign-up for Watch D.O.G.S.

1. Sign-up will open on Friday, September 13th at 9:00AM

2. You must have an account with Membership Toolkit to sign-up. This is NOT PTA MEMBERSHIP. While we encourage it, you do not have to be a PTA Member to volunteer as a Watch D.O.G.S.

3. If you do not have an account or are not sure - click on the 'forgot password' link on the login page, enter your email, and move forward with account creation. Do this before 9/13!

4. If you have any issues creating or managing your account, e-mail volunteer@nottinghampta.org.

5. On or after 9/13 - select the day/time you want to volunteer and sign-up.

6. Remember - please sign-up for one spot per day and no more than two spots total for the semester. We want everyone to have an opportunity to be a Watch D.O.G.S.!

7. If you are unable to volunteer on Fridays or if you do not get a spot this time, please check out the other volunteer opportunities at NHE. We have opportunities every day all over campus that need your help!

The sign-up link will open on 9/13/24 at 9:00AM. If you are unable to sign-up we will open a waiting list for additional interest next week.

Watch D.O.G.S.. T-shirts are available for purchase. These are not required to volunteer at NHE but are a nice way to help our volunteers stand out to students and staff.

Please note, t-shirt orders for WATCH D.O.G.S. are not supported or managed by NHE PTA.
