What is the Sister School Solution program?
Nottingham Elementary is part of SBISD Sister School Solution Program and has proudly supported Ridgecrest Elementary as our sister school since 2018. The program is designed to improve education, support teachers’ needs and most importantly, to support the basic clothing and food needs of children. Our PTA shows our support through a variety of programs including school supplies drives, coat drives, baked goods donations for the Fall Festival, teacher appreciation events, and other essentials to meet critical needs of families in difficult situations.
MEET RIDGECREST ELEMENTARY
Ridgecrest Elementary is one of the largest Title 1 schools in SBISD. They have close to 800 students and over 100 staff members. This year, they took in more students after the closure of Treasure Forest Elementary. The school’s motto is “One Team, One Family”. We work directly with Ridgecrest Principal, Michelle Garcia, Assistant Principals, Nelda De Le Rosa and Raquel Villarreal, as well as the Ridgecrest PTA, to identify programs and areas of support to help enrich the lives of the Ridgecrest staff, students and community.
How Can YOU Help?
Help support our sister school, Ridgecrest Elementary!
Baked Goods for Fall Festival: Each year, we ask the community to donate baked goods to support the Ridgecrest Fall Festival. This year, Ridgecrest has asked that we donate CAKES ONLY. The cakes need to be delivered to Natalie Marshall's house at 823 Soboda Court on Wednesday, October 23, 2024. Sign-up below if you plan on donating a cake.
School Supplies & Beep Bucks Prizes: Ridgecrest has a program to award students for good behavior and are given Beep Bucks that can be exchanged for prizes. Each student will average 8 prizes per year. That’s over 6,400 prizes in total! The school also is in need for school supplies, specifically, wide-ruled notebooks and Crayola markers. You can make a donation by purchasing items on the our Amazon Wish List.

Coat Donations: 2-3 times per year we donate unclaimed coats from our lost and found. The coats are much needed and appreciated and are typically gone in a matter of days!
Teachers Appreciation Events: 1% of our PTA budget supports various staff lunches throughout the year including Thanksgiving pies, Holiday breakfast, SuperBowl lunch and Teacher Appreciation Week lunch.
